Earl Buck presented “Proven Strategies to Boost Profitability of Laboratory Outreach Testing” on April 27. In this master class, participants discovered how profitability is measured, discussed strategies for improving their programs, and reviewed profitability improvement success stories.       

 

On April 29, Anne Daley and Nora Hess lead a post-conference workshop titled “Lean for Lab Leaders:  Achieving Mastery with Concepts, Implementation, and Outcomes.”  This highly interactive workshop was designed to teach the most commonly used Lean concepts and tools to jump-start process improvement in an organization. Through experiential learning techniques, participants learned how to apply their new skills immediately to drive increased efficiency in everyday work processes.
